Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a part of Annapurna Round Trek in Annapurna region and offers the mountain views and Kali Gandaki river (deepest gorge of the world) with dry desert area like Tibetan plateau. Jomsom is a town in the Annapurna Region. It is located at a height of 2800 meters. Jomsom has its own airport and from here the holy Muktinath is not very far away. Muktinath is not only a trek but a pilgrimage destination for the followers of Buddhism and Hinduism.
The Jomsom Muktinath Trek begins after we arrive in Jomsom on a flight from Pokhara. From Jomsom we trek to Kagbeni and then continue to Muktinath. At 3800 meters Muktinath is the highest altitude that this trek reaches. As we do not go to further heights, this trek is suitable for people who do not have previous trekking experience. This trek gives the opportunity to observe the famous Apple garden in Marpha village. Hot springs in Tatopani, dry land (like desert), Kali Gandaki gorge, apple garden, mountain views and holy place ‘Muktinath’ temple is the main attraction of this trek.
